INTRODUCTION: FVP was established in 2001 under the business name of B&D Enterprises. In 2006, the business name changed to Fair Valley Performance & Repair. FVP operates out of Sauk City, Wisconsin USA.
BACKROUND: Dennis Frey attended and graduated from Madison Area Technical College and received an associate degree in Diesel Technology in 1992. During that time he was employed by Diesel Injection Service (Windsor, WI), a diesel fuel injection and turbocharger repair and distribution facility. There, Dennis began working as a diesel fuel injection technician and evolved through the company as a trainer, technical support manager, and diesel service manager. In 2004, Dennis was awarded the Henry Ortner Jr. Memorial Technical Award. This annual award is presented for outstanding technical contributions to The Association of Diesel Specialists, the Diesel Engine, and Fuel Injection Industry. After 15 years of employment, Dennis resigned from DIS, pursued his dream, and established FVP.
THE BEGINNING: In 2000, FVP worked with Rodney and Carla Kern (Kern’s Electronics) developing a computerized data acquisition system for truck and tractor pullers. This system was named DATALOG Peak Performance. Kern’s Electronics began manufacturing and FVP began marketing these systems. The first system was sold in May, 2001. Since then, systems continue to be sold and supported throughout North America and Europe. DATALOG Peak Performance continues to evolve into the premier computerized data acquisition system for tractor and truck pullers.
CURRENT BUSINESS: Construction on a new renovated office and shop was completed August, 2007. FVP is now a diesel performance and repair facility specializing in tractor and truck pulling diesel fuel injection, fuel supply, turbocharger, water injection, and data acquisition systems parts. We are also a master distributor for diesel pickup truck performance products and accessories. We also service, repair, and overhaul original equipment (stock) diesel fuel injection systems, turbochargers, and diesel engines. Our service bay activity includes agricultural tractor, construction, and diesel pickup truck diagnostic and repair.
TRACTOR PULLING: Dennis currently owns and operates a pulling tractor along with his brother Danny. Agent Orange (Allis Chalmers, 190XT) can be seen pulling throughout the summer in the Badger State Tractor Pullers Light Limited Super Stock class. Agent Orange was built in 1999 and has since won the BSTP points championship in 2003 and 2007. Agent Orange was also the finals winner at the 2006 Gordyville, IL Midwest Winter Nationals and 2007 DuQuoin Southern Illinois Shootout. Prior to Agent Orange, Dennis had been pulling tractors at the farm stock level since 1984. Years of pulling experience has provided knowledge that allows FVP to assist our customers in many ways.
SUMMARY: We consider FVP as a very personalized and knowledgeable business. We strive on the highest quality possible with our customer’s best interest always in mind. We’re looking forward to serving you for your diesel performance or equipment repair needs!
